Hi! I’m Amyra Soriano. I’m an award-winning writer, filmmaker, and creative producer.

As a filmmaker, I create character-driven narratives that explore identity, culture, and healing. My short film Miss Hot Mess received recognition for screenwriting from Independent Shorts Awards and Script Awards LA, while Between the Lines screened at CAAMFest Forward and SF IndieFest. Most recently, I edited Art & Everyday People, a short documentary featuring Betti Ono, exploring 15 years of building power through culture.

My multimedia storytelling career spans film, television, and digital media. I worked with The Filipino Channel, where I story edited ABS-CBN’s On the Wings of Love for its reimagined release on Amazon Prime. My written pieces have been published in KQED, Hella Pinay, and East Bay Express.

Beyond traditional media, I create social-first content and develop digital storytelling strategies that connect audiences with meaningful narratives. I’ve collaborated with creative teams and organizations through producing, filming, editing, and developing content across platforms.

Currently, I’m writing something new.
